starting from scratch
NEW Beginnings
For my whole early life, art was an essential refuge; a language that I used to express my thoughts and feelings when words were unavailable.
As is often the case, time shifted my perspective. Life became busier and I replaced my entire world with routine, responsibility, and a never ending need for control and perfection—for myself, for my family, and my world.
Years passed until the next, most recent, paradigm shift. I was taking a pottery class under the instruction of Rinny Ryan (one of my favorite humans of all time). She found me struggling with a less-than-perfect work in progress and said these words to me:
“Get over yourself.”
Little did she know, it was exactly what I needed to hear. It became my mantra; an important reminder to let go.

I am absolutely delighted to share this messy journey with you as I continue to learn and grow from this new beginning. I can’t wait to see how my creations tell their stories in your home, whether by displaying your plants and flowers or serving a meal that you share with your own family.
Thank you for following along as I continue to explore beauty in imperfections.
Thanks for giving me the opportunity to play in the mud.
From my home to yours,
